Instrumentation and Monitoring Engineer

The Project
John Holland, CPB Contractors and Ghella Joint Venture (JCG) has commenced design and construction work for the Sydney Metro West - Eastern Tunnelling Package (ETP).
ETP includes the construction of 3.5-kilometre tunnels under Sydney Harbour between The Bays and the Sydney CBD, and the excavation of Pyrmont and Hunter Street stations. This is the final piece in the puzzle to deliver the city-shaping Sydney Metro West project.

The Role:
Reporting to the Instrumentation and Monitoring Manager

• Assist with the management of technical, commercial, personnel development, stakeholders interest and JV reputation outcomes.
• Deputise for the Instrumentation and Monitoring during periods of leave or other periods of absence
• Provide ongoing interpretation, data management, and inputs to PTT groups and MAT Groups at all stations, TBM and mined tunnels sites.
• Coordinate with the Design and Construction teams.
• Establish and implement a program for installation of monitoring devices and reading of monitoring in line with construction activities and third party interface agreements
• Assist with the management of the project I&M systems

Previous experience in tunnelling, Instrumentation and Monitoring and a background in geotechnical engineering would be looked up favourably but are not pre-requisites.
