HBI Australia is a progressive and professional insurance building company who manage claims and organise repairs on behalf of our insurance partners. We cover the towns and regions along the Eastern seaboard from South-East Queensland down to the Central Coast, NSW.
We are seeking a highly motivated Claims Coordinator with well-developed administrative and customer services skills to join our team in Morisset. This is a full-time hybrid role, 38 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with the opportunity to work from home 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently providing our customers and stakeholders with a high customer service
- Assisting with all insurance claim-related matters, including scheduling of repairs.
- Handling all aspects of the claims process including settlement of claims within authority limits and reviewing files.
- Liaising with suppliers daily, allocating trades for emergency works and submitting variations.
- Uploading information to our insurance partners' portals.
- Updating and maintaining several databases and data entry.
- Providing administrative support to the members of the Construction Team, where required.
Key Selection Criteria
- Previous Claims Coordinator or administration experience (desirable)
- Insurance building claims experience (desirable)
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping people, who are sometimes in distress
- Intermediate computer skills with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and an ability to quickly learn new IT systems
- Ability to prioritise own workload, work collaboratively, and achieve individual and share performance measures.
- A demonstrated track record of professional conduct and behaviour.
The successful candidate would preferably have experience working within the building insurance industry as a Claims Coordinator or claims administrator. Although, we are open to applicants who represent a strong customer service and administration background, who are quick learners and are willing to learn about the sector.
