Form of workTottle Partners is seeking a junior to mid-level lawyer to join our Perth CBD based firm. Working predominantly in our insurance team, with the prospect of working on some commercial litigation matters, you will have the opportunity to perform work in multiple practice areas.
You will have the opportunity to perform work in the context of personal injuries law:
- with a particular focus on motor vehicle compulsory third party (CTP) accident claims;
- on behalf of a pre-eminent defendant insurer;
- on a range of matters involving minor to catastrophic injuries;
- autonomously and as part of a highly respected team.
As part of your role, you will have the opportunity to draft pleadings and interlocutory applications, brief counsel, conduct your own appearances (in various jurisdictions but predominantly in the District Court) and draft opinions on matters of indemnity, liability, quantum and recovery.
Prior experience representing insurers, with established or growing experience in managing CTP claims, is preferred but not a pre-requisite for the position. You will take a commercial approach to your work, with an understanding of the importance of the insurer clients’ broader objectives.
