About the role Join us in a crucial role where you'll support individuals and families during financial crises, guiding them towards a path of financial well-being and resilience. By providing accurate information, conducting assessments, and making appropriate referrals to community support services, including financial counselling, you'll make a significant difference in their lives. With a commitment to accuracy, you'll maintain up-to-date client records using TSA information systems and be part of our team, empowering others to overcome challenges and achieve financial stability.
Key responsibilities All phone calls answered within TSA guidelines and targets Outbound calls are conducted in accordance with guidelines and directions Effective respectful relationships are established and maintained with networks, government, non-government agencies and clients that maintain professional boundaries Client interviews/assessments are conducted in a non-discriminatory manner using appropriate information gathering techniques Assessments/triage follow TSA Helpline procedures to determine service access, including assessing urgency & if phone appointment can service client needs Accurate, up to date client records and data is maintained for all clients in accordance with TSA standards and procedures using TSA information systems This is a permanent full-time position, located in Collinswood, SA.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Level 3 Award . The position will require you to be available Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work occasional evening shifts. Qualifications and experience Desirable, but not essential: Certificate 3 in Community Services or relevant field and/or Certificate 4 Telephony Counselling qualification
Know how to manage professional boundaries when taking crisis calls A willingness to work within a team dynamic and the ability to work alone with initiative Knowledge of lifestyle pressures faced by disadvantaged people in the community Knowledge of family dynamics, special needs and problems facing low-income earners Understands and implements appropriate procedures and strategies to deal with crisis situations Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia A DCSI clearance (Vulnerable Persons) will be required A current SA Drivers Licence will / will not be required
