Our client’s core business is to provide Integrated Logistic Support, Project Management and Systems Engineering expertise to Government and Industry in support of the acquisition and sustainment of equipment and systems through all phases of the material life cycle. Our client has practical experience in the generation and review of platform configuration management and technical publications.
Your responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of the audience and their logistic requirements
- Conduct meetings with clients, colleagues and managers to discuss technical issues relating to ILS requirements
- Produce maintenance updates to existing Technical and Organisational Plans and their supporting processes
- Develop and conduct Verification and Validation (V&V) activities for a platform Support System
- Development and delivery of platform provisioning considerations and lists (Spares, Specialist Tools and Test Equipment and Packaging) and subsequent Contract Change Proposals to a platform Acquisition Contract
- Provide support to the process of determining the suitability of client proposed Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) to replace manufacturers original unique S&TE
- Conduct of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) activities
- Development of Life Cycle Costing reports and conduct Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) activities
- Provide support to Source Evaluation Reports, acquisition projects, transition from acquisition to sustainment, sustainment and disposal phases
- Create and/or update technical documentation in accordance with the clients’ standards, style guidance and publication policies (e.g. S1000D and S2000M)
- Contribute to creation of configuration management artefacts
- Use templates, tools and applications supplied by the client to develop ILS plans
- Supervise and mentor small ILS teams
Your experience - Essential
- A minimum of eight years experience in acquisition and sustainment logistics
- Experience in managing Engineering Change documentation, including:
- Requests for Problem Resolution, briefs and statements of work
- Project plans, situation reports and correspondence with internal/external stakeholders
- Drafting of technical reports and plans
- Drafting and managing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) ILS aspects
- Demonstrable ability to analyse and provide technical data advice to management and an understanding of the process and requirements for reviewing technical information.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with maintenance management systems
Desirable:
- Qualifications/experience in the provision of ILS, Logistic Support Analysis, Configuration Management, Life Cycle Management and technical publications authoring
- Previous acquisition project experience (Defence preferred), including exposure to International Traffic in Arms
- An Associate Diploma (or equivalent) in a technical or engineering field
- Experience with the S Series of ILS specifications
- Ability to travel interstate when required
- Security Clearance.
