About the role
Our Integrated Remote Operations team is currently seeking an Integrated Port and Rail Scheduling Superintendent to join them based at our Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in Perth.
Reporting to the Manager Scheduling and Execution, you will be responsible for the delivery of daily execution tasks to the rail and port operations teams, ensuring scheduled grade targets are achieved. You will also effectively control and monitor the quality of production data, and track product quality and inventory movements within the Roy Hill Sub Systems.
You will oversee a committed logistics execution team of eight who are part of an extended dynamic and diverse scheduling and execution team of approximately thirty-five members. Your direct reports include three Port Schedulers, two Logistics Schedulers, two Senior Logistics Schedulers, and a Shipping Scheduler.
Duties
- Monitor and develop the quality of departmental, team and individual performance
- Work with the planning and scheduling team to ensure that plans and schedules are robust and achievable
- Ensure the execution and schedule team conform to the integrated scheduling execution processes
- Monitor and improve the data entry and validation process to ensure accurate and timely operational reporting for the business
- Ensuring production and maintenance scheduling outcomes meet the business objectives
- Participate and help manage the safety objectives for the team and site-based activities
- Continuous improvement of the team’s processes, meetings, documents, and tools
Skills and experience
- Experience in port logistics position responsible for shipping and port schedules from daily to monthly scheduling periods
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Ability to communicate strategic intent and to influence and negotiate
- An enthusiasm for lifelong learning and personal development
- Ability to enhance culture and maintain above and below-the-line behaviours
- Commitment to ongoing study including up to master’s level etc
