Purpose of the Position
Based in our Karratha office this role will involve driving the delivery of a large maintenance and infrastructure projects for the Rio Tinto Rail Maintenance contract.
About you:
You will be self-motivated and results-driven, have superior knowledge of RIO Tinto Rail Maintenance with strong leadership qualities. You will posses the relevant trade certificate combined with significant construction & maintenance delivery experience in the rail industry.
A collaborative style of leadership and effective communication both written and oral. Have excellent client interface, coordination, time management and safety leadership.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
• Demonstrated minimum 5-10 years’ relevant experience in similar leadership role.
• Strong understanding of the Pilbara region and relevant mining and rail industry knowledge.
• Ability to work 8 days on, 6 days off roster
• Excellent understanding and high regard of health & safety obligations
• Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen.
• Experience at all stages of the project life cycle
• Proven experience in effectively leading and creating a proactive, safe, and supportive team culture.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly organised.
• Strong work ethic.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Computer literate.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Liaise daily with client representatives.
• Participate and be involved with cost control practices.
• Audit and monitor the quality of the team daily reporting.
• Work closely with Supervisors and Manager-Rail Maintenance
• Provide assistance with processes and procedures.
• Client management – relationship-p building
• Coach and mentor Supervisors.
• Contribute to RNM planning meetings.
• Effectively set expectations for behaviours and performance
