The Division plays a crucial role, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of national parts and accessories activities, including sales, business development, procurement, supplier management, dealer support, and warehouse operations. Your new role As a Senior Intellectual Property Lawyer in this 12 months FTC, you will be at the forefront of protecting the company's Intellectual Property rights, particularly concerning parts and accessories as well as repair and collision services. You will manage complex Intellectual Property infringement cases, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and provide essential legal support to the division. Your focus will include handling trademark and copyright infringement, countering counterfeit parts and accessories sales, and addressing Australian consumer law infringements.Manage Intellectual Property infringement cases from inception to resolution.
Draft and review legal documents, manage litigation, and lead court negotiations.
Oversee customs seizures and manage evidence and investigations.
Address dealer agreement breaches through regular audits and compliance tracking.
Provide legal support on issues related to parallel imports and product security measures.What you'll need to succeed To thrive in this role, you must have a robust legal background with a specialisation in Intellectual Property law. Your critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills will be vital in managing complex cases and ensuring legal compliance. You should be proactive, adaptable, and capable of collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.Degree qualification in law; certified Legal Practitioner.
Specialisation or diploma in Intellectual Property or trademark law.
3+ years of experience in legal practice with a focus on Intellectual Property and consumer law.
Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills.
