This includes:(1) Trade marks and copyright infringement with particular focus on counterfeit Toyota parts and accessories sales.(2) Australian consumer law.This role is based in Altona North with a flexible work arrangement. This role also requires the successful applicant to be able to travel interstate at least twice a year.How you’ll make an impactManage Intellectual Property infringement cases by maintaining case management records, handling cases from start to finish, including conducting initial desktop enquiries, to ensure cases are progressed and resolved in a timely manner.Complete monthly reports in relation to Team’s KPIS and drafts bulletins and presentations for TMCA and Dealers. This task requires the Lawyer to be able to:(1) engage in legal practice (with legal supervision where applicable);(2) monitor own tasks with respect to compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements to eliminate Toyota’s risk exposure and liabilities.Manages evidence and investigations by conducting trap purchases by liaising with investigators and ensuring evidence is adequately verified and stored.Provide day-to-day legal and operational support to the Aftersales Division in respect of Intellectual Property law. This includes coordinating a global working brand protection group, facilitating meetings, preparing presentations and taking minutes.Manage cases in relation to franchise law. This includes dealer agreement breaches in respect of the sale of parts and accessories. The Lawyer will be responsible for conducting investigations, regular audits, maintaining tracking documents of breaches, escalating potential breaches in a timely manner and following up until resolved.Conduct training to TMCA suppliers, and Australian Border Force officers.Support the creation of counterfeit awareness for the public.Your attributes – If you’ve got one or more, we’d love to hear from you!Must have: Degree qualification in law.
