Intensive Care Paramedic Northern Territory

 St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. is the Territory’s leading provider in emergency medical response and preparedness. We do this by providing ambulance services under contract to the Northern Territory Government, coordination of emergency medical responses and supporting event health services.

We are looking for experienced Intensive Care Paramedics for our Territory Operations based predominantly in either Darwin or Alice Springs. You will have opportunity to work on both the Ambulance Platform and Critical Response Unit (CRU).

Our CRU is a multifaceted ICP single response model, providing support to Ambulance operations through the provision of rapid and specialist care to high acuity cases, clinical support to Paramedics and Patient Transport Officers, debrief and in-field case review, clinical case reviews, education, and clinician development. 

The role provides opportunities to deliver high level ICP level care in rural and remote locations and utilise your skills and knowledge in challenging and rewarding environments.

As a senior clinician with St John Ambulance NT, you will provide clinical leadership to both Paramedics and Patient Transport Officers to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care across the NT locations.

St John NT offers:

• A competitive salary, $143,000.00- $161,000.00 (based on ICP experience) plus superannuation.

Our ideal candidate must have:

• A current Authority to Practice as an Intensive Care Paramedic from a CAA approved Ambulance service.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Intensive Care Paramedic.(desirable)
• AHPRA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership through mentoring and support.
• Well-developed problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
• A high level of oral and written communication skills to ensure effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
