Interface Manager - Third Parties - Suburban Connect

The Suburban Connect consortium, comprising CPB Contractors, ACCIONA and Ghella, have been selected by the Victorian Government to deliver the first major tunnelling package on the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East project.
The package includes construction of a 16-kilometre section of the project's twin tunnels, including tunnelling between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley, 55 safety cross passages between the tunnels, station boxes at Clayton and Monash and the construction of portals - the entrances and exits to the tunnels - at the stabling facility.
About the Opportunity:
Take on a crucial leadership role within the Suburban Connect Consortium, where you'll play a vital part in managing technical and design interfaces throughout a major infrastructure project's lifecycle. This dynamic position demands strong collaboration with stakeholders and proactive resolution of interface-related issues to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Interface Leadership: Develop and implement the project's Interface Management Plan (IMP), ensuring seamless communication and information flow between the Consortium, Third Parties, and the client.
• Project-Wide Interface Management: Establish robust processes for interface communication, meeting management, and reporting. Champion Suburban Connect's interests in external stakeholder interactions.
• Technical Interface Oversight: Collaborate closely with discipline managers (Engineering, Construction, Completion), ensuring their requirements are clearly communicated and agreed upon with external stakeholders.
• Proactive Issue Resolution: Anticipate and address interface challenges, assessing the criticality of unresolved issues and escalating them for timely resolution within the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

We Are Looking For:

• Technical Background: A degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven Interface Management Experience: 5+ years in interface management, design management, project coordination, or similar roles demonstrating success in aligning project teams and stakeholders within complex infrastructure projects. Experience with Melbourne Water, MTM, Councils, or DTP is highly desirable.
• Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams and external authorities.
• Problem-solving Mindset: Strategic thinking, analytical prowess with complex interface dependencies, and a pragmatic approach to issue resolution for maintaining project progress.
• Advantageous: Experience with tunnels, underground structures, or similarly complex infrastructure projects.
