THE ROLE
- You will be responsible for the preparation of Income Tax Returns, BAS’s, IAS’s & Financial Statements from start to finish for all types of entities (Some SMSF work may be required):
- You will Review & Mentor junior accountants (graduates) and admin staff in the bookkeeping and initial job functions
- Attend client interviews with Partners and Managers: receive training to allow your own growth and development in this area
- Liaising with the ATO on taxation matters
- Research – tax and business advisory
- Liaise with clients on matters in relation to PAYG, GST, Workcover, superannuation, Centrelink and other government agencies.
ABOUT YOU
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role in an Australian public practice accounting firm
- Ambition to grow within the firm- clear pathways to leadership!
- Some practical knowledge in PSI, FBT, CGT, Div 7A (- able to recognise and have some idea of what action is required)
- Tertiary degree in relevant field (Accounting/Commerce/Business (accounting/commerce major)
- Commenced/desire to commence CPA OR CA is ESSENTIAL
