Due to the expansion and continued growth of our company, we have an exciting opportunity available for an Intermediate HVAC Engineer to help grow our Gold Coast based team.
About the position
You will report to the Queensland Construction Manager and be part of a small local team. You may be working on anything from small works to major projects for both QLD and other national offices. The projects will be both D&C and fully documented. The work is diverse, and our current projects include high rise residential & commercial, major healthcare, industrial and CBD fit out works.
The role will include:
- Involvement in the early tender process and supporting the estimating department with value management concepts for tender submissions.
- Preparation of engineering documentation from basic calculations to concept mechanical services layouts, designs, and schedules.
- Reviewing documentation for compliance & buildability.
- Collaborating with our construction team to ensure optimum project delivery.

Ideally you will:
- Have current experience in a HVAC Engineering role (RPEQ preferred but not essential).
- Be proficient in Microsoft office suite, Camel and Bluebeam Revu.
- Have an in depth technical understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Have strong attention to detail & organisational skills.
- Be highly motivated & well presented.
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Have a passion for cost effective, practical, detailed, compliant and innovative HVAC mechanical services design.
- Comprehensive understanding of the intent, application, implementation and compliance with the NCC, DIT requirements and other codes and standards applicable to the role
- A degree in mechanical engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
