THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Intermediate Mechanical Designer to work across projects in the oil & gas, mining & minerals, petrochemical and water sector. As part of a fast growing engineering consultancy in Brisbane, you will have the chance to be mentored and work alongside industry experts, providing design solutions on challenging projects for Tier 1 clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop detailed mechanical designs, including 2D & 3D modelling, drafting, and assembly drawings, adhering to industry standards and client specifications.
- Creating Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
- Participate in design reviews, providing input and feedback on design concepts, feasibility, and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, drafters, and project managers to ensure designs meet project specifications.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Cert IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Engineering Drafting.
- Experience utilising AutoCAD (2D and 3D) is essential.
- Other software's such as Autodesk Plant 3D, Bentley Auto Plant Intergraph CADWorx Plant highly regarded.
- Experience working in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining & Minerals or Water industries preferrable.
