Intermediate Tax Accountant - 3 Days P/Wk - Remote

Qualifications & experience

• Accounting Degree + CPA/CA or near completion
• Minimum of 3+ years in a Public Practice
• Excellent knowledge of Xero & XPM software
• Australian tax resident and ability to download reports from the ATO Tax Agent Portal
• Ability to work independently

Tasks & responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns (Individual, company, sole trader, trust etc) and working papers for review by the Senior Tax Advisor
• Fringe benefits tax returns
• Respond to client questions as the key contact – this requires a strong ability to communicate with clients and staff members
• Preparation of BAS & IAS for clients
• Preparation of Financial Statements
• Communication with ATO on behalf of clients
• Participate in tax planning sessions with clients and Senior Tax Advisor
