A Pharmacy Internship at TerryWhite Chemmart 

As a Pharmacy Intern at TerryWhite Chemmart, you will work under the supervision of an experienced registered Pharmacist who will train and mentor you throughout your early career journey. 

You will work behind the counter and on the floor to compile medicine orders for patients and facilitate optimal patient outcomes by having meaningful health solution based discussions under the supervision of a pharmacist with general registration.

As our new Intern Pharmacist you will be required to perform the following duties; 

• Counsel consumers on their medication (both prescription and over-the-counter products) in an up-to-date, evidence based manner under supervision of a pharmacist with general registration
• Prepare prescriptions in a timely, efficient and accurate manner under the supervision of a pharmacist with general registration
• Assist in the provision of Dose Administration Aids under the supervision of a pharmacist with general registration
• Practice in accordance with legislation and professional guidelines
• Ensure that prescriptions are accepted for dispensing in a timely way as per pharmacy procedure 
• Practice in accordance with dispensary policy and procedure (i.e. QCPP)
• Collaborate and maintain relationships with local health professionals

What’s required to be an Intern Pharmacist?

• Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree (or equivalent) completed before starting date
• Provisional Registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA before starting date
• A major focus on patient centred care and facilitating optimal patient outcomes
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively 
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to lead and work as part of a dynamic team with a broad range of roles and responsibilities
