We are seeking an Audit and Auction Coordinator to join our team at Return-It. This pivotal role involves supporting the Internal Audit team and coordinating the auction process for CDS recyclable materials.
About the role:
- Coordinate and oversee the auction process for recycled materials, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Setting up and liaise with buyers and sellers, handling auction-related documentation, recording transaction, invoicing, dispute resolution and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and track Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) material in the process flow system (from CDS collection & manifesting from sites, delivery in recycle plants, processing, storage, auctioning, selling and collection by buyers).
- Assist in conducting financial and operational audits in line with organisational process, policies and state recycling regulations.
- Aid in preparing audit reports and presenting findings internally and to state government.
- Support the evaluation & improvement of internal controls and risk management practices.
- Support efforts to detect and prevent fraud in the cash management & CDS process and implement audit control for the OTC data point versus the actual.
- Employ intermediate to advanced Excel skills for effective data analysis and reporting from various sources to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Manage site related master data and notify government of any relevant updates.
- Assist and monitor commercial collection administrative process for Re.Collect Victoria
- Effectively work and communicate with government bodies, internal departments, and external partners to facilitate efficient and compliant operations.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience in internal/external auditing, auction coordination, or a related field, preferably in the recycling or environmental sector (not essential).
- Strong skills in data analysis with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with environmental and recycling regulations.
