What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end insurance audits and ad-hoc reviews following Suncorp Audit Methodology and professional Internal auditing standards
- Develop detailed audit scope, work programs and budgets, ensuring comprehensive coverage
- Collaborate with the Data Analytics and Technology & Operations audit teams to enhance testing when applicable
- Prepare and/or review work papers and risk/control matrix, maintaining meticulous documentation
- Analyse observations, test results, and conduct root cause analysis to develop impactful audit findings and recommendations, including preparation of reports
- Lead and participate in stakeholder meetings, fostering effective communication throughout the audit process
What you'll bring
- 5 years' experience in the Financial Services sector, Internal auditing, and/or external audit
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of auditing principles, practices, techniques, and risk management methodologies, including adherence to the Standards for Professional Practice of the Institute of Internal Auditors
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, IT, or a related field (desirable)
- Relevant qualifications such as IIA, ICAA, or CPA (desirable)
- Showcase expertise in data analytics audit techniques and IT control testing (desirable)
