Internal Audit Officer (Secretarial and Administration) – Local Government
We are looking for an enthusiastic Internal Audit Officer to provide support and deliver on Internal Audit objectives by providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services. Gain valuable Local Government experience. Apply now!

• $48.39 hourly rate + Super
• Monday to Friday (8:30am – 5:00pm)
• Early February Start!

A Day in The Life
Your day to day will involve the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Conduct financial, operational, and IT audits, including scoping, fieldwork, and recommendation development.
• Provide Internal Audit advice to stakeholders.
• Perform data analysis, generate reports, and offer insights.
• Prepare and escalate audit reports to Principal Internal Auditors and Internal Audit Manager.
• Ensure timely follow-up on audit actions and assist in preparing Audit Committee papers.
• Collaborate across Council to facilitate Audit Plan delivery.
• Identify and develop audit techniques, including control monitoring solutions and data analytics programs.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Current "C" class driver's licence
• Degree in Commerce, Business or another relevant field.
• CA, CPA, CISA or equivalent membership status. Qualification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) would be highly regarded
• Experience within the field is highly regarded
