Administration / Procurement Officer
Permanent Full-Time Position at our Gateshead Office NSW.
Based in Gateshead, Hunter Dental Technical Services (HDTS) offers expert service fit-out and repairs of all dental equipment using modern technology and state-of-the-art equipment. Founder and Managing Director Owen Kurtz commenced the business in 2006, and now employs 15 people servicing dental practices across NSW. HDTS provides a full suite of preventative and emergency servicing across over 20 different equipment manufacturers.
We are looking for a Procurement Officer/Administrator to join our team.This role is unique and requires excellent time management, attention to detail and high level of customer service. The role requires you to manage competing priorities and work well with the other departments in the business.
Day to Day Duties:
- Work as part of the Administrative Team alongside our Field-based Technicians.
- Work directly with our technicians to determine what parts are to be ordered/relevant part numbers
- Learn how to identify certain parts of the equipment
- Ordering of all parts through our chain of suppliers
- Using initiative and be on the ball with following up jobs and the parts required for them in advance
- Follow up ETA’s from supplies
- Regular stock takes and stock management
- Opening parcels, assign parts to the relevant jobs
- Ensure the pricing for each part is kept up to date in the system and enter invoices
- Helping out with administration duties in other departments if needed
Skills and Experience:
- General administration skills
- Skilled in Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook etc)
- Project management software Geo Op, Simpro or similar
- Excellent attention to detail
- Customer-focused with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Experience in purchasing and stock take, while preferred is not required.
