About the Position
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Internal Auditor to join our growing business. The right candidate will have the opportunity to play an integral role in our continued growth and success.
The purpose of this pivotal position is to set up a new independent internal audit function to ensure that the company is successfully compliant which is critical for our business and industry.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of student files to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of student documentation, including enrolment forms, academic records, assessment results, and other relevant materials
- Identify any discrepancies, errors, or non-compliance issues within student files and promptly report findings to the appropriate stakeholders
- Collaborate with department heads and staff to address audit findings and implement corrective measures to improve file management processes
- Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and quality assurance
- Prepare detailed audit reports documenting findings, recommendations, and action plans for management review
- Provide training and support to staff members on compliance-related matters and best practices for maintaining accurate student records
About You
You will have demonstrated success in working in an internal audit function within a fast paced, highly transactional business environment.
- Qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification or similar accreditation preferred) desirable but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in auditing, compliance, or related fields, preferably within the education or training sector.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to education and training organisations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and assess compliance effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate audit findings clearly and professionally.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools for audit documentation and reporting.
