Our client is a well-established supplier of industrial electrical instruments and products that are used extensively in the medium and high voltage electrical utilities and electricity distribution area. This dynamic, privately owned organisation has been operating for close to three decades now and possesses a well-established client base throughout Australia that includes major electrical utilities companies and asset owners, large electrical contractors and OEM's.
The role
Reporting to the National Manager, this is an office-based sales position that will focus on providing a high level of service and problem solving to new and existing customers, whilst also assisting in new business development.
More specifically, you will be involved in the following;
- Responding to inbound phone, website and email enquiries in a timely manner;
- Problem solving for customers by researching and providing product recommendations;
- Working closely with the inhouse engineering and BDM teams to provide a high level of service and customer support;
- Quoting and providing accurate and ongoing updates on delivery schedules and timelines;
- Researching and approaching new or past customers to generate new business;
- Maintaining customer relationships and accurate customer information; and
- Assisting in the achievement of state sales budgets.
Required Experience
- Minimum three to five years' experience in a similar, technically focused Internal Sales or similar role;
- A professional, yet down to earth approach with strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn the technical aspects of products (electrical instruments);
- Proven ability to work in a team environment or individually;
- Highly motivated, reliable and customer focused;
- Well-developed computer skills (MS applications); and
- Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills.
