The International Partnerships Manager is a newly created role and will be the first of its kind globally at HSBC. This role provides the successful applicant the opportunity to make a direct contribution towards HSBC’s International Strategy by uncovering exciting business development opportunities between two critical markets, Australia and India. You will look for New to Bank (NTB) acquisitions, help assist customers moving or relocating to India from Australia. You will support customer needs via a reactive inbound and outbound referral model. You will ensure we have a seat at the table, securing and ensuring attendance of the team in community events where attendance of international, multi-country prospect customers is expected. Maintaining all agreements with third party organisations and will be the main point of contact for any community event organisers.
Responsibilities:
•Mapping of potential partnerships/agreements in the residing market and identifying specific organisations to engage with (e.g. law firms, immigration consultancy firms, accountancy firms, associations, etc)
•Being the first point of contact and onboarding organisations into HSBC International Desk to be empanelled partners
•Embed into external sponsoring or community events to present HSBC and international proposition
•Hold ad-hoc training and educational events to distribution teams in the markets to raise awareness of strategic importance of international proposition, international desk, host country offerings, special corridor campaigns as well as journeys/capabilities to enhance cross border collaboration
•Managing development of the overseas Indian business in Australia and contributing to the development of local initiatives to attract and retain our clients moving to India and vice versa.
•Act as a dedicated conduit to the Australian distribution teams while supporting “joined up” initiatives between India and HSBC Australia Wealth and Personal Banking section
•Act as the in-market SME for all relevant matters relating to the Indian diaspora such as Cross Border policies, product and proposition offerings, competitor analysis etc. You will develop strong and effective collaboration with colleagues within the Australian and Indian businesses to represent an aligned approach to help grow this customer base
•Oversee relevant activities such as implementation of key business initiatives, market research, data analytics to help enhance the value proposition to our customers
•Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, providing insights and recommendations to optimise partner strategies and maximise revenue potential
•Ensure partners adhere to regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices, minimising potential risks and maintaining a high level of integrity and compliance.
Requirements:
•Proven experience as a B2B Partnerships Manager or a similar role within the Financial Services industry
•Fluency in Hindi is highly desirable
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively, and influence partners
•Results-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and driving revenue growth
•In-depth knowledge of financial markets, trading products, and industry regulations
•Analytical skills to monitor performance metrics, conduct market research, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations
•Prospecting and pipeline maintenance, this is a results driven role so you will need to be constantly looking for new business.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
