We currently have a vacancy in our Automotive division for an Inventory Analyst. This role will be instrumental in providing analytics support across the automotive business. Reporting to the Automotive General Manager, this role will be well suited to an experienced Inventory Controller with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, who can work autonomously and who enjoys working at an operational level. You will enjoy working in a fast paced environment in a role that offers diversity and challenge.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct regular reconciliations and audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Address discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent inventory issues.
- Work closely with warehouse, procurement teams and other stakeholders to coordinate inventory movements and optimize processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the inventory function.
- Generate and maintain monthly inventory reporting required for management.
- Provide input as required to maintain monthly budgets and department profitability.
- Be involved in special projects involving inventory.
- Conduct regular analyses of inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
- Run and review suggested purchase order report as per purchasing schedule or supplier requirements.
- Review all outstanding purchase orders monthly and update or cancel as required.
- Review and monitor slow stock and take necessary actions to reduce.
- Work with multiple manufactures with obsolete stock and buy-back programs, credits, and claims.
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills, including ability to document an existing process, evaluate and improve.
- Proven experience in inventory analytics, inventory control, supply chain and procurement.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time & priority management skills, able to manage tasks efficiently and work independently as well as in a team environment.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Qualification in Product Management or Inventory Management or similar would be preferable.
- Experience in the Automotive Industry preferred but not essential.
- Experience in PowerBI software desirable.
