The Role
The Inventory Controller will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in stock records, and optimizing inventory process to meet production demands efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with national procurement and NPD team to forecast inventory needs to ensure timely replenishment.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods.
- Complete daily orders and follow up any orders outstanding.
- Ensure key inventory reports are produced daily and analysed data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements.
- Routinely conduct cycle counts.
- Investigate all discrepancies and issues within pre-determined time frames
- Perform regular stock adjustments.
- Maintain excellent standards of recording and filing all reports, stock adjustments, cycle count sheets, claims/resolutions, out of stock information.
- Ensure that stock receipting accuracy is maintained.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards in all inventory related activities
- Coordinate with site team members to complete weekly stocktakes.
Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in food manufacturing or related field.
- Must have Stock Control experience (stocktake, cycle counts, supplier relationships)
- Must have valid High Risk Forklift Licence
- Strong analytical skills and superior attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior time management skills with the ability to manage work schedules unsupervised.
- Flexible and reliable with the capacity to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP, BRC)
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
