Inventory Management Support Clerk

An exciting opportunity exists for an Inventory Management Support Clerk in Pinkenba!

Your new company  Your new company is a leading pioneer in the technology market. With business segments providing advanced defence and commercial technologies across air, land, sea, space and cyber domains, this company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Inventory Controller to join their team based in Pinkenba. 

Please note the successful candidate will possess a current Australian Defence Security Clearance of NV1 and above. 

  Your new role   In your role as Inventory Management Support Clerk, you will provide direct support to the Supply Chain Management Team. 

Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Direct liaison with customers and technicians to provide logistics advice and assistance regarding maintenance-related issues.
• Receipt and storage of internal purchase orders for repair parts from Rochester, including loading of parts into Oracle.
• Stocktaking of our clients' owned assets.
• Inspection, label and packing of items for freight via FedEx/TNT booking.
• Create commercial invoices for international shipments to ensure accurate documentation in accordance with Trade Compliance regulations for ITAR/EAR products.
• Co-ordinate/monitor shipments with key contacts in Rochester, USA for incoming RMAs.
• Carry out a control process to ensure all parts are designated properly to the corresponding RMA and parts received are exactly as per order received.
• Accurate checks and recording of replacement serial and part numbers into relevant registers.
• Liaison with external vendors regarding repair of our clients' equipment.
• Liaison with Warehouse staff regarding repair of RSG parts and accessories for Tech Inspection and Repair.
• Conducting appropriate checks within Mercury to determine parts in warranty and out of warranty.
• Prepare records of items shipped into data packs while liaising with the Freight Compliance Officer.
• Ensure International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) are correctly adhered.

What you'll need to succeed  To be successful in this role you will possesses previous experience in an Inventory Management Support role within the Defence Industry. 

You will also possess proven experience:

• Current Australian NV1 security Clearance as a minimum. 
• Understanding of Defence warehousing and supply chain.
• Understanding of the fundamentals for supply chain management.
• Effective communication and written skills.
• Computer-literate with multiple programs (Intermediate MS Excel an advantage).
• Ability to effectively handle demanding and stressful situations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous change.
