Your new role
In your new role as Inventory Planning Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Full responsibility for inventory management, maximising stock availability, preventing out of stocks and obsolescence, all within agreed financial constraints.
- ERP system maintenance, ensuring inventory is accurately reflected within the ERP system, creating new item material master and BOMs.
- Analysis of historical trends to anticipate future use, reporting the demand forecast to senior leaders and creating a supply plan accordingly to meet anticipated demand.
- Driving a continuous improvement culture across inventory management practices and communicating procedures to the wider business, including the operations and warehousing teams.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in an Inventory Planning role within a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of inventory management, supply chain planning, warehouse operations, and purchasing.
- Excellent communication skills, able to influence stakeholders across all levels, and to develop and communicate inventory procedures and processes.
- High-level systems skills, with a good grasp of MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems exposure, coupled with strong commercial acumen.
