Our iPower Development team works within Firm Operations delivering the latest Web Technologies. You'll be engaged in developing, deploying and maintaining a world class Practice Management System that is deployed to over 70 countries and over 75,000 users, blending technical skills and strategy to deliver an enterprise application used across over 60 territories within the PwC Network of Firms. And our team is expanding.
We’re looking for an iPower Developer to support the Principal Engineer in improving technology stability and ensure solid foundations for PwC services, and in the transformation of standard set of services across PwC.
Use the know-how you've gained in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). With new problems to solve, you’ll have plenty of support and opportunities to grow. We work from anywhere, so your strong communication skills and team ethos will get a workout. You'll learn plenty as you identify areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently develop these modifications in a workplace that’s human-led and tech-enabled.
Day to day, you’ll solve problems by determining the root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions. In our iPower Development team, you’ll also:
- You'll document, design and implement software solutions
- You'll research, design, implement, and manage software programs
- Collaborate in Agile ways with Service Owners / Lead Engineers and wider teams
- Remain current on new technologies and available vendor packages; evaluate and make recommendations as necessary.
- Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice.
- Assist in task planning, estimation and scheduling.
- Write and implement efficient and secure code
- Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes.
- Assist with leadership duties and provide peer support for junior staff in the team
- Perform peer reviews of code and documentation written by team members
- Perform a lead role in the delivery/management of services by assisting with requirements capture, system design, development, requirements verification, integration and testing
Critical Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- A tertiary level (or equivalent) qualification in Computing Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or an Engineering related field with experience in developing to delivering services
Minimum 7 years of experience in the following technologies (ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC
- Microsoft .Net/.Net Core
- Angular
- C#
- VB.NET
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- T-SQL
- WebAPI
- JSON
- Java Script
- HTML
- TypeScript
- XML)
- Experience in DevOps working within an Agile environment with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge on accounting concept would be preferable (not essential)
