What you'll be doing
This position provides Occupational Rehabilitation Services to ISLHD staff. This position also provides practical guidance and assistance to management and staff participating in ISLHD Recover at Work programs. The aim of this support is to ensure injured workers are able to Recover at Work in a timely, efficient and sustainable manner.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

This is a temporary full time leave relief position until 28 July 2024 with the possibility of extension.
Selection Criteria * Qualifications in a relevant health related discipline (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, other allied health and Nursing) and /or a minimum of 12 months relevant demonstrated experience in the provision of Occupational Rehabilitation Case Management, including application of Recover at Work practices. (If no prior experience as a Rehabilitation Case Manager or Case Management, requires icare/SIRA accreditation to undertake Recover at Work practices.)
- Up to date Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation legislation including relevant guidelines and best practice principles in risk and claims management.
- Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Proven skills in facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated high level organization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence and willingness to travel.
- Demonstrated skills in the use of PC based system including Word, Excel and Access.
