You will be responsible for end-to-end IT category performance and supplier performance management, including: IT Contingent Labour; Communication; Enterprise Software; Cloud & managed services; IT Hardware and Security. You will operate in accordance with corporate policies and processes, defined governance, regulations and delegations of authority.
This is a 9 month contract role and can be based in Brisbane or Melbourne. We offer flexible working arrangements in a hybrid model. This is a contingent worker role facilitated via Hudson RPO.
What you’ll do
- Define the category hierarchy mapping
- Develop and prioritise category initiatives
- Define category specific policies and procedures per initiative
- Create transformative category strategies, based on supply market expertise, current and future business strategy & needs, spend and innovation opportunities that identify impactful business value (with a focus on a pipeline of value delivery through effective category deployment)
- Target 100% of addressable spend under category strategy
- Manage end to end go to market process while ensuring regulatory compliance & managing risks
- Conduct effective change management with stakeholder’s post implementation to realise value from initiatives
- Works with the business to define supplier KPIs, scorecard, vendor management models, data sources and collection methods on supplier performance.
- Support the business to manage relationships with incumbent strategic suppliers including driving supplier innovation and developing joint improvement initiatives
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years relevant category management experience with at least the last 3 years focused on technology specific categories (e.g. IT Contingent Labour; Communication; Enterprise Software; Cloud & managed services; IT Hardware and Security)
- Strong category, sourcing, negotiation and supplier management skills
- Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining category strategies
- Strong understanding of supplier contracts, negotiating contracts and identifying and mitigating risks
- Sound computer skills in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), P2P systems and ERP systems (ideally Oracle)
