It Consultant - Communications

The IT Consultant - Communications is responsible for delivering high level network infrastructure services to the Department of Health, using best practices from the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework. The Consultant will provide expert troubleshooting, operational solutions, network architectures, procedures and recommendations to key stakeholders and management with awareness of a Whole-of-Government (WoG) service provider framework.The Role: * Provide high-level consultancy, research and development, network architecture design and associated integration services as related to ICT communications technologies for the Communications Group, ICT management, DoH clients.

• Maintain and develop network monitoring and management tools, logs and reporting systems to verify the performance of network services delivered to DoH.
• Undertake specific projects and tasks within ICT Services as required by the Manager - Office of the Chief Information Officer.
• Maintain and improve the Group's service support processes including the development of networking policy, standards, procedures and work instructions.
• Assist the Team Leader, Network Communications by allocating and prioritising the Group's tasks and providing technical leadership, mentoring, coaching and professional development of team members and other branch staff.

Details of AppointmentPermanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $104,756 - $118,730 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: * A Bachelor degree in Information Technology or a relevant discipline.

• 5 or more year's recent working experience in ICT Networking.
• Current Driver's Licence
