About the Role:
As our IT Infrastructure Specialist, you'll be the superhero of our data centre infrastructure, guiding junior consultants, and taking the lead on exciting projects such as the rollouts of cloud-hosted infrastructure for our Australian medical client base. While this role does involve some weekend and out-of-hours work, we believe in work-life balance and offer flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the guardian of CyberSquad IT's private cloud/data centre environment
- Plan for growth and architect expansion plans like a true visionary
- Discover and implement groundbreaking technologies
- Configure network infrastructure for our new data centre clients
- Monitor and manage backup systems (Veeam™)
- Project Management with flair and precision
- Perform routine system maintenance checks and troubleshoot hardware and software issues like a pro
- Ensure the smooth operation of data centres, servers, and networks
- Set up, configure, and maintain firewalls and security systems (Sophos XGS) to protect sensitive information
- Assist in the roll-out of new IT infrastructure projects
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, sharing your wisdom and expertise
- Document IT infrastructure configurations and changes in a detailed and organised manner
- Ensure compliance with IT infrastructure policies and procedures
- Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem-resolution
- Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability
About You:
Are you passionate, diligent, and positive, with a knack for technical support and customer service roles? Do you have a solid understanding of layer 2 & 3 networking, experience with Firewalls, VMware vSphere, and a strong knowledge of MS Windows, MS Server, and MS 365?
If you hold Sophos certifications and have experience with Sophos UTM 9 / Sophos XG/XGS Firewalls, VMware Horizon, VMware NSX, and working within a data centre environment, you could be the perfect fit for our team!
