About the role
The IT Field Service Technician role is responsible for providing in the field technical support of office and industrial based computer hardware and software used by the business. This role requires good technical problem-solving skills and strong practical knowledge of desktops, laptops and servers.
Other responsibilities include:
- Resolution and effective tracking of Incidents/Problems/Service Requests
- Identify and recommend process, application, and technology improvements
- Provide advice to customers during incident management
- Provide support to remote users
- Occasional project work to deploy solutions
- Engage vendors and contractors to resolve escalated incidents/requests
- Provide 24/7 on call support to the business as part of a roster
- Create quality documentation for internal and external parties
About your experience
You will be someone who is experienced in addressing complex issues and enjoys working with a fast paced, flexible team, across an industrial environment. You are passionate about technology, resourceful, safety focused, and persistent.
Skills and qualifications required:
- Demonstrated experience in computer hardware support
- Recognised IT industry certification(s) or relevant tertiary in information technology
- Strong communication skills
- Current Australian drivers license
