It Manager

Natures Cargo is a family-owned business that has been in operation since 1986 and from its small beginning has today become one of Victoria's leading foodservice distributors. Natures Cargo sell and distribute food, beverage and other products to restaurants, healthcare, educational facilities, hotels, pubs, clubs, cafes and all other food establishments. We have three distribution centres across Victoria located in Ballarat, Traralgon and Thomastown. 
 

Natures Cargo are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, working alongside third party software developers/providers, providing technical support to staff, and ensuring the security and integrity of our data. While the position is based in Ballarat, there will be occasional travel to our other sites in Thomastown and Traralgon to ensure comprehensive oversight and support across all sites. 
 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the scoping and implementation of new technology initiatives such as a new ERP System, Automated Procurement System and WMS system, ensuring smooth transition and optimal functionality.
• Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including Azure, Dlink and SAAS applications.
• Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Ensure the security and integrity of our data, implementing and maintaining security protocols and procedures.
• Manage and mentor staff with new systems and IT procedures.
• Manage and monitor software and hardware licensing and maintenance agreements.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technology trends and recommend new technology solutions to improve the company's operations.
• Collaborate and manage third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Oversee the activities of the different external project teams that are meant to work towards achieving a common purpose.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related IT field.
• Experience administering ERP systems in a warehouse setting.
• Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role, preferably in the warehousing, logistics and/or foodservice industry.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including Cybersecurity, Cloud infrastructure (Azure) and API integrations.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions.
• Familiarity with security protocols and procedures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently and as part of a wider team.
