The Company
A business that genuinely does some good things in the world.
Based in Parramatta, but have employees spread all over Australia. The culture is genuinely upbeat, collegiate & collaborative. They also have a very flat structure and have an open door policy.
They offer great workplace flexibility - you can WFH, you can work remotely, the only ask is that you are close enough to either their head office or business hubs (Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Geelong or Wollongong) to come in as and when needed.
The role
The business is very much a Microsoft shop - Office 365, Teams, Azure, Dynamics, Defender.
They are also looking to implement Sentinel as a SIEM tool. They presently run Rapid7 but soon plan to transition over.
This person would administer the security platforms, handle monitoring of their environment, own the response to security incidents, work closely with the infrastructure team to ensure patching is always up to date, ensure security is font of mind when new solutions are designed, contact security assessments and pen testing, help harden their servers and SOE, ensure documentation is up to date, and an appropriate security incident response is thoroughly mapped out.
You'd work closely with both the other members of the tech team and the business in this role. As such excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate is key.
It's probably ideal if this person came from a systems admin/engineering background. This is a technical role, and you're working most closely with systems engineers & admins, so you need to know the space.
Your reward?
- A very healthy $120K base (plus get also access generous salary packaging options)
- Scope to not only WFH but also work remotely

- Your chance to own technical cybersecurity for a large organisation
