The Role
This IT Security Officer role will be responsible for all the IT and cyber security requirements for the team at Richmond. The successful candidate will contribute and make recommendations on the lifecycle of infrastructure technologies and provide technology direction to assist in preparation of equipment justification, acquisition and IT strategy. This role will be based on the RAAF Base Richmond, NSW.
The role we are offering you
- Perform IT systems administration tasks including patching, ICT security, user management and more
- Analysis of system and security event logs
- Assist IT Security Manager (ITSM) to maintain and improve security posture as per the strategic security plan developed by the ITSM
- Security incident reporting and analysis
- Perform security risk assessments based on Defence Risk Management Framework
Our ideal candidate has:
- Strong knowledge of IT Systems and Security Administration experience
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, network devices and protocols
- Experience with Australian Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

Security requirements
As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
