IT Service Management Specialist Division: Boral Constr Mat Limited Department: OVERHEAD CMC Work type: Permanent - full time Location: Sydney Your next opportunity:     The role of IT Service Management Specialist is a strategic position within the IT Operations Team. This role has a strong focus on delivering excellence in customer service and ensuring core disciplines are maintained with respect to ITSM operations, Service transition governance, configuration management and change management. The ITSM Specialist is focused on driving improvements and ITSM services end to end for the business through IT. Your day will involve: You will deliver excellence in Service Management and demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of ITIL focusing on incident, problem, release, change and service transition processes. Proactively work with IT solution teams to evolve the Service Management delivery function and enable an ITIL delivery framework. Service Transition Ensure the effective transfer to Service Operations Develop and improve service transition processes and ensure these are communicated to all stakeholders and followed throughout the Service Transition across the organisation Contribute to the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures Develop and manage service delivery metrics to identify trends and process improvement opportunities. Manage Service Improvement plans and action plans to maintain and improve the delivery of the services. Manage customer feedback to deliver improved outcomes What are we looking for? Degree qualified in IT or related discipline or relevant industry experience Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Service Management expert at an enterprise level, preferably with a Tier 1 organisation Experience using ITSM toolsets (preferably Cherwell) to manage core ITIL functions ITIL accreditation Technical lead for the Service Management platform (Cherwell) Experience in the implementation of Service Management Tools Working knowledge of the administration of any of the following technologies would be an advantage: Microsoft Active Directory, SCCM, Intune, Outlook, Microsoft 365, Citrix Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage concurrent requests, work under pressure and work to deadlines Strong analytical skills with an ability to deep dive into the detail and step out as the situation demands Enterprise mindset, with a clear focus on business outcomes Persuading and Influencing skills Proven ability to deliver to customers’ expectations. Willingness to go the extra mile in response to business requirements, including flexibility to work outside of business hours from time to time What’s on offer?
