About the role
In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in administrating, monitoring, and maintaining the current IT infrastructure, whilst also serving as an escalation point from the end user team.
In addition to supporting the user community, you will actively contribute to infrastructure projects, playing a pivotal role in transitioning the existing on-premises infrastructure into a hybrid environment. With multiple projects on the horizon such as Intune deployments and cyber security uplifts, there is plenty to keep you excited.
Responsibilities:
To excel in this dynamic position, you'll be expected to:
- Maintain, monitor and administrate an existing infrastructure environment;
- Act as an escalation point for level 1-3 support teams;
- Implement industry best practices for Backups, Disaster Recovery, and Security;
- Drive the modernisation of on-premise infrastructure towards a hybrid/cloud environment;
- Maintain hardware and infrastructure, covering servers, laptops, phones, Wi-Fi, printers, security cameras, etc;
- Provide strategic advice to steer the business in future endeavors;
- Support day-to-day business activities; and
- Occasionally travel to branch and interstate offices may be required.
Skillsets:
Demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- 2+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator;
- Strong experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, Office 365;
- Experience with Azure and cloud environments;
- Well-rounded knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, VLAN, Routing, Firewalls, etc.);
- Strong experience with Microsoft Intune;
- Experience with VMWare and Citrix;
- Experience with MacOS and iDevices is nice to have, but not required;
- Fantastic communication skills with the ability to explain technology clearly; and
- Strong multitasker capable of working on multiple tasks.
