The role:
The A2A and B2B Integration Architect (in short Integration Architect) will provide technical leadership, oversight, standardization and validation of integration and middleware application architecture for both A2A (Application to Application) and B2B (Business to Business) interfaces being requested in the Asia & Pacific region.
A2A deals with interfaces between internal systems, and with interfaces between internal systems, and external systems providing services to Coty. B2B deals with EDI communication mostly using the EDIFACT or Ansi X12 standards.
The Architect will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analyst and other IT groups; providing technical leadership for integration efforts between the different systems involved. The Integration Architect will be responsible for clarifying the integration requirements, and once those are clear, estimating the cost of changes and coordinating the implementation of the changes in the middleware. He will also be the liaison between the local (project) resources and the global development teams.
The Integration and Middleware Architect will report to the Manager responsible for globally managing the A2A Development team, with a dotted reporting line to the US and APAC B2B Team Manager.
The 3rd party iWay Support team will handle any processing issues on a 1st and 2nd level. This team is active 24x7. 3rd level support will be provided by 3rd party developers that are part of the support team for A2A, and other 3rd party developers for B2B. 4th level support is provided primarily by the APAC Integration architect, but he has backing from the US and European teams of architects, SME's (subject matter experts) and developers.
As part of the job a candidate might be required to travel to other countries in the APAC region like Singapore, China and Japan. The candidate might also be requested occasionally to work outside normal business hours and during the weekend.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Design and deployment of application components that are standards based, high performance, highly available, low maintenance, and comply with operational standards and procedures.
- Provide leadership and demonstrate ownership of the integration platform for consistent usage across projects.
- Understand the business and customer needs to introduce technical solutions that enlarge the capabilities of the middleware platform.
- Support integration. UAT and performance testing and the testing of error handling and monitoring in the interface. This support should give the confidence that once the interface moves to production they are defect free, have an adequate performance and reliability.
- Enhance Middleware governance based on best practices and ensure proper alignment business and major initiatives.
- Understand and contribute to Enterprise IT strategies; adhere to compliance regulations and development guidelines.
- Oversee and resolve issues relating to security gateway and agency adapter platform, and the associated application and data integration initiatives relying on these environments
- Prepare senior level technical reports for executive management
- Manage special technology projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Continuous improvement of existing development, testing, and documentation standards and best practices
We'd love to see candidates who have:
- University level degree on bachelor level or beyond
- 5+ year's experience designing and developing middleware interfaces on a modern middleware platform like iSM, Mulesoft, WebMethods, SAP PI, CPI, WebConnect, MQ Sonic, IBM WebSphere Message Broker
- 3+ years of experience in interfacing with SAP
- 3+ years providing project support for projects with an integration component.
- Strong knowledge of XML (XML, XSL, XSD) and JSON technologies.
- Knowledge of UN/EDIFACT, ANSI X12 and other EDI Standards used by our customers
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Demonstrated experience working with technical and non-technical staff
- Outstanding collaboration and team building skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent analytic and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple parallel tasks under tight deadlines
- 3+ year's experience developing complex large scale systems incorporating packaged and custom applications
- Strong knowledge PKI architecture, application security, data security and network security
- An understanding of the sales and distribution processes supported by EDI is part of, and relevant aspects of the way these processes are implemented in SAP
- Experience with Oracle and MS/SQL databases
- Experience with designing applications
- Ability to plan technical architecture and develop documentation
- Solid knowledge of testing tools and techniques
- Experienced with formal SDLCs and business analysis methodologies and possess knowledge of business analysis documentation standards
