A Japanese manufacturer based in North Sydney s seeking candidates for the position of Logistic Specialist. This role will suit for an individual who has experience in importing, inventory control and forecasting. Japanese language skill is preferred.
Description
The key responsibilities and duties:
- Manage an accurate inventory of warehouse products
- Schedule and track inbound and outgoing shipments
- Purchase and import from overseas, mainly from the same company branches, but also other factories.
- Ensure materials are delivered to sites in a timely manner as per clients' criteria
- Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs
- Negotiate rates with carriers
- Input the purchase / inventory in ERP system(SAGE)
Profile
In order to be considered for this role you will have the following key attributes, skills and strengths:
- Experience in import and/or export duties
- Japanese language skill would be advantageous
- Solid organisational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work with various stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
