As we expand our operations, we're seeking a talented and experienced Supply Chain/Procurement Specialist to join us in achieving our goals.
Position Overview: As a Supply Chain/Procurement Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, goods, and services through our supply chain network. You will be responsible for managing procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers, optimising inventory levels, and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet operational needs and cost objectives.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain supplier relationships.
- Manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimise stock levels to meet demand while minimising carrying costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, production, and finance to coordinate supply chain activities.
- Analyse supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements affecting procurement and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for data analysis and inventory management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
- NetSuite (or similar ERP system) experience required.
- Accounting experience (highly desirable).
