Japanese speaking Sales and Export Coordinator
About This Position…
Our client operates across various sectors within the forest-derived materials industry, covering activities such as reforestation, pulp production, paper manufacturing, and international trade. They place a high emphasis on environmentally sustainable and socially responsible forestry practices. Their operations encompass cardboard paper manufacturing in Australia and abroad, along with expanding globally in the hygiene products market.
As a Sales and Export Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the international trade activities of our client within the forest-derived materials industry. Your responsibilities will involve managing sales inquiries, negotiating contracts, coordinating shipments, and ensuring compliance with export regulations.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of our client’s global footprint while promoting environmentally sustainable practices.
What does your next role look like?
The role includes but is not limited to:
Liaison with Tokyo HQ and suppliers for business enquiries, shipment schedule.
SAP (Main21) entries (contracts, postings, payment arrangements, receipt of funds)
Preparing and checking shipping documents.
Reporting of daily loading progress to Tokyo HQ including making loading reports.
Making monthly reports of Australian forest news, economic figures and aggregating Australian export figures.
A little about you…
Sales Support/Administration Experience: You have a background in sales or business administration, ideally in import/export or manufacturing.
International Trade Knowledge: You understand international trade practices and have experience with export documentation.
Communication Skills: You’re a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, in Japanese and English, with the ability to build relationships.
Analytical: You can analyse market data and develop strategic plans.
Detail-Oriented: You pay attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Team Player: You work well in a team environment and can also take initiative independently.
Adaptable: You’re flexible and can adapt to changing priorities and environments.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.
Passion for Sustainability: You’re committed to environmentally sustainable practices.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK IN AUSTRALIA
Location…
Melbourne CBD – well facilitated with high conveniences, including accessible restaurants/shops and transport.
Working Hour…
9:00am to 5:00pm – Monday to Friday
Salary range…
$55,000 – $65,000 per annum + super
Working flexibility…
Initially, full onsite presence is required. Followingly, optional remote work per week negotiable
