Java Analyst Programmer

This role is responsible for initial research, design and writing succinct, clean, and secure code to create practical solutions. Specifically, this role will:

• Work from home as part of a small technical team to develop integrated solutions for our product suite and other related projects.
• Analyse business requirements and write high-quality, secure, testable and maintainable code to deliver optimal solutions.
• Examine existing systems, identify flaws, and create solutions to improve code quality, expand features.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues in development, test and production environments and processes.
• Write documentation to facilitate ongoing support of software solutions.

• Bachelor degree or higher in IT relevant field is preferred
• 5+ years commercial experience as a developer
• Extensive experience of full stack/design to deploy projects 
• Extensive experience with Java 
• Experience with SQL (postgreSQL preferred)
• Experience with Vue or similar front end framework 
• Experience with Typescript 
• Understanding of AWS Cloud
• Ability to work with event-driven and API-driven applications
• SDLC tools experience (GIT, Maven, JIRA, Bamboo)

• Research, design and build new features for the Jet Interactive platform in Java with some Vue, SQL and JavaScript
• Prepare new features for release, including testing
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Provide technical advice to stakeholders and contribute to team-based standards for programming tools and techniques
• Ensure development is documented, stored and maintained for all to access to enable effective delivery and enhanced ways of working
