One of Australia’s leading Federal Government Departments is looking to engage multiple skilled and experienced Software Developers to join their multidisciplinary team based in their Canberra Office. The successful Software Developers will assist their Digital Governance team to deliver an accessible intranet program of work. The successful Software Developers will secure a 12-month contract with extension options with a rewarding pay.

The successful Software Developers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Designs, codes, tests, corrects, and documents complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications, and subsequent iterations.
• Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and considers target environment, performance & security requirements, and existing systems.
• Delivers technical visualisation of proposed applications for approval by customer and execution by system developers.
• Maps work to user specification and removes errors and deviations from specification to achieve user-friendly processes.

The successful Software Developers will have experience in the following:

• Proven experience in development languages/frameworks such as Python, Java, Java Messaging Service, JavaScript, J2EE.
• Demonstrable experience with Puppet, Ansible and Docker automation tools.
• Strong commitment to software engineering processes and a proven ability to develop robust and maintainable software.
• A proven ability to document technical processes.
