The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Job Coach to work with our Customised Employment team, who shares our values and who is passionate about empowering people with disability to achieve their hopes, dreams, and employment goals. You will be required to help participants source employment opportunities using a Customised Employment model.
This role will be working in and outside the office environment in a part time capacity (3-4 days) with the opportunity to go to full time.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A strong desire to increase independence and community participation for people with disability
- Ability to write accurate, clear, and informative reports
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of NDIS and experience in utilising a range of community-based supports and methods to achieve client goals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders including families and guardians
- Willing to complete a mixture of administration work and support work.
- An ability to work autonomously, following client support plans and working towards achieving outcomes.
- Ability to represent Midway at events, network groups and expos as well as meet with potential employers to discuss employment opportunities with participants.
- Strong customer service experience would be highly valued.
- Administration / Report writing skills.
- Availability Monday-Friday
- Possess a current WA driver's license.
- Ability to obtain a NDIS Clearance
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check
- Ability to obtain a current National Police Clearance issued within the past 6 months.
- Ability to obtain a current First Aid Certificate and CPR certificate;
- Eligibility to work in Australia;
