We are currently seeking applications for a Community Development Support Officer to provide support to the Manager Community Services.
About the role
This position is suited to someone with an interest in providing support for community events and project management. The Support Officer will plan and coordinate small-scale projects or components of large-scale projects when required and assist with event management of Council events and provide support for community events. We are looking for someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills to strengthen partnerships with various stakeholders to build community knowledge of Community Development. This will include actively involving residents in Community Development initiatives. The successful applicant will need to have a high level of computer skills as a responsibility of the Support Officer is to update Council’s website content and social media pages. This will also involve producing the monthly newsletter relating to Community Development activities.
