NDIS Youth Program Coordinator 

A Omnia Inclusive Employment Solutions NDIS Youth Program Coordinator will mentor staff in their professional development, be flexible in service delivery, market to and network with relevant stakeholders, collaborate with coordinators and staff across all sites, manage challenging behaviours, work with local employers to identify and establish work experience and employment opportunities, promote inclusiveness within the program.

The role is diverse and exciting, calling upon your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to identify and meet the needs of participants. This is a role you can build and own, making a real, positive and tangible difference.

They play a critical role in ensuring Omnia Inclusive Employment Solutions participants/candidates are supported to achieve outcomes aligned with individualised employment, social and independence goals.

About you 

  • A passion for enhancing the lives of people with a disability and a genuine interest in supporting staff to create engaging programs with a focus on youth independence. To ensure success you have (or are working towards) relevant qualifications in Community Services, employment or education and have either direct experience in the Employment Services Industry or transferable skills and knowledge from a like industry.
  • You will have a good understanding of the NDIS with previous experience leading or supporting a team.
  • You're energetic and result oriented with a good understanding of rosters and budgets, excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, an outgoing, approachable enthusiastic personality that inspires and motivates staff along with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
  • Your ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with participants, staff and other stakeholders is one of your key strengths.
  • In addition, it's essential that you're eligible to work in Australia and possess a current driver's licence, NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children certification.

 

Youth Consultant (PT) and Youth Assistants (Casual)

Youth Consultants and Youth Assistants deliver group and individual training to develop participants skills and confidence and to support with achieving their employment, independence and social goals. They use their creativity and understanding of learning to develop content and tailor workshops to suit needs of unique groups. 

Youth Consultants and Youth Assistants provides end to end support for Omnia Inclusive participants/candidates in preparation for employment and/or life skills, including internal training, workplace and community support and HR case management assistance to ensure positive, productive outcomes for Omnia Inclusive participants/candidates. 

Youth Consultants and Youth Assistants work with dedicated Youth Workplace Consultants to develop the skills and employability of participants and ensure progress towards individual career and life goals. 

About you

  • The drive and ambition to design and deliver creative workshops to engage and support youth with all abilities
  • Not essential but it would be desirable if you had relevant qualifications (or working towards) in Community Services or Education or youth work or similar
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An energetic, positive attitude with a commitment to personal development and career progress
  • Ability to work in an ever changing environment
  • Resilience and confidence in conflict resolution to support with challenging behaviours
  • Confidence in developing employer and community partners to establish work experience and employment opportunities
  • An understanding of the NDIS

Conditions of Employment

  • This position is required to undertake all necessary National Police Check and any State/Territory Working with Children Check/NDIS Worker Screening check. All checks must be renewed upon expiry in a timely manner.
  • All employees are required to prove their ‘right to work’ in Australia by providing copies of appropriate documentation prior to commencement.
  • Relevant industry experience & suitable qualifications
  • COVID Vaccination Certificate
