Missing Spoon is a thriving multi-store neighbourhood café and restaurant with Korean and Japanese culinary influences. We pride ourselves on sourcing the freshest seasonal produce and collaborating with top-tier suppliers to craft vibrant, flavourful dishes with a unique twist.

Position Details:

- Full-time and part-time positions available

- A probation period of 4 weeks will be applied for training purposes

Responsibilities:

- Deliver exceptional customer service, including greeting patrons, taking orders, and operating the cash register with precision

- Manage cash and card transactions accurately, ensuring the proper balance of the cash register

- Cater to the needs of customers with special dietary requirements or other accommodations

- Conduct regular stocktaking according to established protocols

- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all areas of the establishment, including the register, bar, serving areas, and tables

- Ensure all equipment is clean, properly maintained, and readily available for efficient daily use

- Prepare beverages according to specified recipes

- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

- Communicate customer feedback to management and suggest new menu items

- Fulfill any other duties within the scope of the position as required

Requirements:

- Previous experience working in a café, with a minimum of 6 months' experience in a fast-paced environment in Australia

- Proficiency in operating espresso coffee machines

- Exceptional customer service skills and strong interpersonal communication abilities

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute effectively to a team

- Capacity to create a positive and energetic atmosphere in the workplace

- Strong multitasking abilities and commitment to completing all tasks, especially during quieter periods

- Genuine passion for coffee, food, and beverages

- Knowledge of sanitation regulations and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards

- Positive and adaptable attitude

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
