If you love news and keeping people informed about the things that affect their daily lives, read on!We’re looking for a qualified Journalist to help prepare news stories to share with our Regional NSW markets, as part of ARN’s Local News First initiative. There will also be opportunities to present news On-Air.
About The Role:
- Write, edit and present high quality news for our Regional NSW listeners.
- Conduct and edit interviews for inclusion in local news bulletins.
- Collaborate with Regional NSW journalists to assist with story and bulletins production.
- Present bulletins On-Air for our Regional NSW markets as needed.
- Write, edit and publish news stories for the station websites.
- Report from the field and attend media conferences, doorstops, police incidents and other news events as required.
About You:
- Strong on-air presentation and writing skills.
- Tertiary qualification in journalism or communications.
- Experience in radio news preferred, but not essential.
- Understanding of the law as it relates to media, particularly in the areas of Defamation and Contempt of Court.
- A passion for news and a workable understanding of sport.
