About the Role
The opportunity has arisen for a Junior Chemist to join our fast-paced Port Melbourne laboratory, working with fuels, petrochemicals, oils, and coal. The successful candidate will have a degree in Chemistry or related scientific field.
- To conduct routine laboratory tests in an Oil and Gas testing laboratory.
- Report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and standardize laboratory reagents.
- Assist in development and optimization of testing procedures.
- Collaborate with team member to meet deadlines.
Selection Criteria
- Bsc in Chemistry or another relevant scientific field.
- Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and protocols.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new testing methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Organisational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding on Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email.
- Sensitivity in dealing with confidential information.
